Change is in the Air! August 17, 2018 12:01
Art Restart welcomes a new team member this month, Kierra Aiello, Business Development Associate. Kierra will be focusing on social media presence and business expansion so that we can help even more women with art opportunities and product royalties. Make sure to look for Kierra at Art Restart pop-up shops around Denver, and come introduce yourself!
Every change in the workplace, including bringing on new employees like Kierra to help, can create stress and high levels of emotion in the workplace. For this reason, we wanted to share “10 Tips for Dealing with Change Positively in Your workplace.” The article focuses on strategies to navigate transition periods and fear with a smile on your face (or at least without letting anxiety get the best of you).
Some of our favorite tips:
“3. Confront your feelings and seek support.”
We love this tip because it’s used every day by the wonderful women at The Gathering Place. Art Restart seeks to help develop a community where TGP members and employees alike can fully recognize their feelings and receive the support they need.
“5. Be flexible and embracing of change.”
Accepting an environment of change can help to relax the situation. This sense of calm can then be transferred to people in the same work environment or our loved ones so that everyone feels more comfortable. Even the way things change can change, so it’s good to remind yourself and others to limber up and stay flexible!

New Product: Scarves! October 26, 2017 11:09
Recreated from our artists original designs, there is a pattern in our collection for everyone's taste. You'll see some of your favorite prints from our greeting cards like 'The Glades' by OUI and 'Spring Bouquet' by CFF. We especially love how the art from our Colorado Collection translated into these scarves. Your friends will be reeling over your 'View of City Park' by VEC scarf wondering where to get their own.
One of the things we really like about these scarves is their material. They are made from a sheer, lightweight, cashmere wool-like polyester that makes them ultra soft and comfortable. They are light, fold-able and machine washable making them not only fashionable, but functional. Each scarf measures 71" x 41" giving you plenty of room to play around with how you wear it.
Another thing that is special about this product launch is our ability to offer a higher royalty to our artists. On each individual purchase made, the designer of the scarf will directly receive 25% of the net sales. We love being able to provide our artists with a check each time their work is purchased and our scarves are a great opportunity to expand upon that offering. As always, the remainder of proceeds are reinvested back into The Gathering Place to help make the free programming we offer our members possible.
To keep production costs as low as possible to allow our artists to receive more of the proceeds, we have established "purchase by" dates. We are now collecting orders and will make the scarves in three production runs according to the dates below.
Order by October 31, November 15, or December 1 to receive your scarf before the holidays. Allow two weeks for production and an additional week for shipping.
Visit our site to see our full line today! With all of our artists having their own style, there is a design for you and everyone on your list this holiday!
